The Pursuit – das neue Album von Jamie Cullum erscheint am 13.11.2009. Die Single „I’m All Over It“ ist schon seit 23. Oktober 2009 im Handel. In seinem siebten Album kommt Jamie Cullum rockig daher, ohne jedoch auf den ihn auszeichnenden Mix aus Jazz, Funk und Pop zu verzichten.

Schon früh sammelte Jamie Cullum Bühnenerfahrung, musizierte in diversen Rock- und Jazz-Bands. Inpiriert sowohl von Radiohead, als auch von Jazz-Größen wie Esbjörn Svensson. Mit der Musik finanzierte Jamie Cullum dann sein Studium sowie sein erstes Album „Heard It All Before“. 2001 erschien sein zweites Album „Pointless Nostalgic“, welches sich extrem gut verkaufte. Seit 2003 steht der Brite unter Vertrag bei Universal Jazz.

2009 erhielt Jamie Cullum eine Golden Globe-Nominierung für den Titelsong zum Hollywood-Film „Gran Torino“ mit Clint Eastwood.

Über den 30-Jährigen schreiben übrigens auch Klatschblätter gerne: Seine Verlobte Sophie Dahl überragt ihn mit ihren 1,80 Metern um gut einen Kopf. Jamie selbst ist 1,63 m groß.

Die Singleauskopplung „I’m All Over It“ steht in England bereits auf Platz 55 der Charts.
