Michael Franti ist seit Mitte der 90er musikalisch unterwegs. Der Amerikaner ist die treibende Kraft hinter dem Projekt Michael Franti & Spearhead und ist in den USA einer der bekanntesten Reggaepoeten. Hierzulande ist der in Oakland geborene Rastafari noch eher unbekannt, obwohl sein erstes Album sogar schon 1988 erschien.
Aber auch Deutschland will nun ein bisschen "positive Vibes" aufschnappen, denn in den Radios kann man seine aktuelle Single "The Sound Of Sunshine" mittlerweile täglich hören. Eigentlich setzt sich Franti schon seit Jahren für den Weltfrieden, den Umweltschutz oder für diverse politische Themen ein. Aber auch ein fröhliches Lied sei ihm genehmigt. Franti meint, dass diese Single ausnahmsweise einmal nur gute Laune und Hoffnung verbreiten soll.
"The Sound Of Sunshine" stammt vom gleichnamigen aktuellen Album, das schon 2010 erschienen ist. Die Single kann man natürlich auf den bekannten Downloadportalen, wie z.B.
