Ihre absolut einzigartige Stimme und das Wolfsgeheul auf ihrer ersten Single „She Wolf“ haben aufhorchen lassen: Lateinamerikas Superstar Nr. 1 ist zurück auf der Tanzfläche. Mit einem neuen Album „She Wolf“ hat sich Shakira erst kürzlich zurückgemeldet. Dabei hat sie sich diesmal ein wenig von ihren lateinamerikanischen Wurzeln entfernt und ist noch etwas näher in die Richtung „Pop“ vorgerückt. Sicher auch ein Verdienst von Pharell Williams, der Mastermind der Neptunes, der u.a. schon Hits für Madonna und auch Britney Spears geschrieben hat.
Williams hat mehrere Songs des aktuellen Albums „She Wolf“ für Shakira geschrieben und diese Songs auch gleich produziert. Die Sängerin hat nichts anbrennen lassen und sich auf die Fähigkeiten des erfolgreichen Songwriters verlassen. Auch die neue Single „Did It Again“ stammt aus seiner Feder, ein eingänglicher Popsong, der in meinen Augen viel besser ist als die erste Single „She Wolf“. Irgendwie konnte ich dem Track nämlich persönlich so gar nichts abgewinnen.
Auf der neuen Single „Did It Again“ kommen auch wieder die Fans der lateinamerikanischen Rhythmen auf ihre Kosten. Für den Track haben Williams und die Sängerin verschiedene brasilianische Funk-Grooves eingebaut, die ihren Ursprung in den brasilianischen Karnevals-Samba-Gruppen haben. Heiße Rhythmen also auf dem Dancefloor.
Im Radio kann man die neue Shakira-Single nun schon seit einigen Tagen hören. Als physische Audio-Single steht der Song ab dem 27. November in den Läden. Wer nicht warten will, kann sich auch schon jetzt mit dem digitalen Release begnügen. Als Download via Amazon MP3 ist „Did It Again“ schon verfügbar.
