Bekannt wurde die britische Rockband Snow Patrol vor allem durch ihre Single "Run", mit der später auch die Sängerin Leona Lewis richtig durchstarten konnte. Sie coverte den Song von Snow Patrol und mittlerweile ist ihre Coverversion sogar deutlich bekannter als das Original. Deutschlandweit wurden Snow Patrol vor allem mit ihrem Song "Chasing Cars" bekannt, der mehrfach in großen US-Serien zu hören war, u.a. bei "Grey's Anatomy".
Im kommenden Jahr soll nun ihr neues Album "Fallen Empire" erscheinen, das sogar schon fertig aufgemommen ist. Eine weltweite Veröffentlichung ist allerdings trotzdem erst für den Februar 2012 geplant. Um die Fans aber nicht zu lange auf die Folter zu spannen wird im September eine EP erscheinen auf der dann auch die neue Single "Called Out In The Dark" zu finden sein wird.
